One year ago today, having just left a senior analyst position at a hedge fund and itching to do something new, I decided to embark upon an uncharted territory.
That something new turned out to be this blog.
Yes, it is a one-year anniversary of Hedgopia.
At the time, there were several unanswered questions in my head. Would I get bored within a few months? Would I be able to come up with sufficient time to do justice to the blog? Would reader response be positive at all?
A year later, the answers to these questions are no, yes, and yes.
Of course, as in most things in life, there is a give and take.
First and foremost, I cherish the freedom – no one above me to tell me how to think. The downside is – if it can be called that – there is not enough time for social life. But the upside is that it is because of this blog that I have had interaction with people that I never thought possible.
That is all of you, and hopefully many more to come.
Let us hope the blog continues to attract new readers. The trend so far is encouraging. For that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
If you find the blog useful, please spread the word.
