Beginning December 21, the CFTC was not able to publish reports on time due to the partial shutdown of the federal government, which has now reopened. The CFTC expects to publish one report on Tuesday and another on Friday of each week until the reports are current as per the normal schedule. This occurs next week. Until then, we will only present the charts below, but not commentaries.
10-year note: Currently net short 165.5k, up 2.5k.
30-year bond: Currently net short 26.7k, down 7.1k.
Crude oil: Currently net long 390.5k, down 23.8k.
E-mini S&P 500: Currently net short 119.5k, up 3.3k.
Euro: Currently net short 63.9k, up 11.9k.
Gold: Currently net long 104.9k, down 4.2k.
Nasdaq 100 index (mini): Currently net short 26.8k, up 3.3k.
Russell 2000 mini-index: Currently net short 33.5k, down 4.7k.
US Dollar Index: Currently net long 33.3k, up 2.5k.
VIX: Currently net short 59.6k, up 21k.
